Nurturing Traditions, An International Refereed Journal on Himalay is a completely peer-reviewed journal and an important venue for scholastics community devoted to contemplate on the thought-provoking opinions on cultural and cross-cultural issues relevant to our times. It offers an interdisciplinary platform for documenting the contemporary research issues committed to uphold cultural and ecological diversity of Himalayan other similar regions around the world.
The topics covered by the journal cover a wide range. The aim is to offer to its readers a forum for academic debates on broad range of topics pertaining to ethnicity, traditional wisdom, literature, ecology, folklore, oral traditions, history, art, culture and comparative and translation studies of the Himalayan region.
The journal welcomes unpublished research papers, creative writings, review articles and book reviews relevant to the journal’s prime area of interest. Contributors are requested to follow the latest MLA style manual. Words, concepts and inscriptions in languages, other than English should be presented in English transcriptions. Each research article published by the journal follows a precise format, as detailed in the instructions for authors. While preparing their manuscripts for submission authors are requested to follow the given guidelines:

 

CRITERIA FOR PUBLICATION

Nurturing Traditions considers the following article types:
Research: Papers pertaining to original research.
Review Articles: Comprehensive, authoritative accounts of any subject within the scope of the Journal; these articles are usually written by the eminent writers that have been invited by the Editorial Board.
Book reviews
Creative writing


PEER-REVIEW POLICY

All research articles submitted to the journal will be peer-reviewed by at least two experts in the specific field(s) featured in the article. The final decision to accept or reject the article will be taken by the Editor-in-Chief.
